About This Trip

Discover the magic of Bali on our youth humanitarian trip, where cultural immersion, thrilling adventure, and meaningful service come together in one unforgettable experience. Known for its lush jungles, ancient temples, and vibrant traditions, Bali offers the perfect setting for youth to explore the world while giving back. Teens will stay in beautiful jungle lodges with private pools and panoramic views, creating a serene home base in the heart of the island.

On this trip, youth will engage in humanitarian work, including building a home for a family living in a landfill—providing safety and stability for generations to come. They’ll also support single mothers through skill-sharing workshops, volunteer in under-resourced schools by teaching English and connecting with students, and take part in marine conservation efforts by learning about ocean ecosystems and planting coral alongside local environmentalists. Every project is designed to foster empathy, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding.

Bali also delivers plenty of adventure and fun—from river rafting and biking through rice fields to hands-on Balinese cooking classes and visits to sacred temples. Youth will discover the island’s rich culture, play and laugh with local children, and experience Bali’s natural beauty through activities that blend service with discovery. Each day strikes the perfect balance between impactful work and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.

A large portion of your trip fees and related travel expenses may be tax-deductible through our partner ROAM Humanitarian, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We always recommend checking with your personal tax advisor to understand how this applies to your specific situation. A Charitable Contribution Acknowledgement form will be sent to you at the end of the year.

Questions about this trip?

Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?

Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.

You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.
