About this Trip

The Dominican Republic is the second largest and most diverse Caribbean country, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea on the south.  Known for their warm and hospitable people, Dominican Republic is a destination like no other, featuring astounding nature, intriguing history, rich culture and some of the world's top beaches.

All of this only gets better as you work alongside baseball legend Dale Murphy revitalizing and building baseball fields and providing baseball clinics to the next generation of players.  Continue serving the local community in hurricane clean-up projects and volunteering at an orphanage.

After your hard-working day, stay at a family friendly all-inclusive resort set on a beautiful Dominican beach to rejuvenate.  Visit waterfalls, natural waterslides, and salt mines.  Spend a night being serenaded to sleep in a treehouse in the jungle.

Dale Murphy (“Murph”) was drafted in the first round of the 1974 MLB draft and went on to have a long and successful career winning back-to-back MVP awards (the youngest in history to do so) as well as 5 Gold Gloves, 4 Silver Sluggers and countless other awards and honors. He was a 7-time All Star and still today is one of the most beloved athletes to ever play in Atlanta. Off the field, he was known for his integrity and willingness to give back which earned him the Roberto Clemente Award. He was also named one of Sports Illustrated's "Athletes Who Care the Most". Dale was inducted into World Sports Humanitarian Hall of Fame and the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame. His number (3) was retired in 1994 and hangs today in Truist Park as a tribute to his celebrated career.

Dale and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of 8 kids and grandparents of 15. ROAM Humanitarian couldn't be more excited to serve with Dale, Nancy, and all of you! Register today!
