About this Trip

The Dominican Republic is the second largest and most diverse Caribbean country, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the north and the Caribbean Sea on the south.  Known for their warm and hospitable people, Dominican Republic is a destination like no other, featuring astounding nature, intriguing history, rich culture and some of the world's top beaches.

All of this only gets better as you work alongside the locals and fellow ROAMers to revitalize rural baseball fields and provide baseball clinics to the next generation of players.  Continue serving the local community in hurricane clean-up projects and volunteering at an orphanage.  Paint houses in the community organized by local artists to reflect the Dominican culture.

After your hard-working day, stay at a family friendly all-inclusive resort set on a beautiful Dominican beach to rejuvenate.  Visit waterfalls, a cacao farm, and attend a Dominican League MLB game.  Horseback ride and hike in the Dominican jungle.  Spend two nights being serenaded to sleep in a tree house in the jungle.  This will be a trip you won’t forget!  Register today!

Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?

Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.

You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.

Who are my expedition leaders?
