About this Trip
Home to eight of the ten highest peaks in the world, Nepal is a magnet for adventurous travelers all over the globe. This country is famous for its breathtaking landscapes including the Himalayas and Buddhist and Hindu shrines.
Come enjoy a women's only (16 and older) ROAM Humanitarian expedition as we partner with Free a Girl and their Nepal based School for Justice. The School for Justice program started in Nepal and targets survivors who fell victim to sexual exploitation of children (SEC) as a minor (but can now be young adults) in which they receive education to become lawyers, social workers, and police officers who prosecute sex offenders.
We will also spend time volunteering at a local non-profit art center and putting the finishing touches on a Women's Center that will be used for teaching marketable skills and other needs.
Spend the rest of your time in Nepal participating in daily yoga and meditation practice. Take a safari in Chitwan National Park with the hopes of seeing rhinos, elephants, and hundreds of species of birds. Explore Kathmandu, Durbar Square, and the world famous Swayambhunath and Boudhanath temples. Top off your once in a lifetime experience with a flight around the Himalayas (optional) and see what the world is talking about when they put Nepal at the top of their bucket list.
Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?
Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.
You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.

When are trip fees due?
Payment schedules are listed on our website under each individual trip tab. In addition, you will receive a welcome email and monthly invoice with the payment schedule attached as well.
We will not hold your spot without a non-refundable $500 deposit. Thereafter, there will be a deadline for half expedition fees due, and a final donation deadline.
