About this Trip

Home to eight of the ten highest peaks in the world, Nepal is a magnet for adventurous travelers all over the globe.  This country is famous for its breathtaking landscapes including the Himalayas and Buddhist and Hindu shrines.

Come enjoy a women's only (16 and older) ROAM Humanitarian expedition as we partner with Free a Girl and their Nepal based School for Justice. The School for Justice program started in Nepal and targets survivors who fell victim to sexual exploitation of children (SEC) as a minor (but can now be young adults) in which they receive education to become lawyers, social workers, and police officers who prosecute sex offenders.

We will also spend time volunteering at a local orphanage and helping with environmental cleanup after the recent earthquake.

Spend the rest of your time in Nepal participating in daily yoga and meditation practice and freshen up on your cooking skills with a local class and food tour. Take a safari in Chitwan National Park with the hopes of seeing rhinos, elephants, hundreds of species of birds, and if youre lucky, the elusive bengal tiger. Explore Kathmandu, Durbar Square, and the world famous Swayambhunath and Boudhanath temples.  Top off your once in a lifetime experience with a flight around the Himalayas and see what the world is talking about when they put Nepal at the top of their bucket list.

Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?

This service trip is open to adults over the age of 18, and 16-17 year olds with a parent guardian. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.
