Participate in water projects and other community outreach opportunities like building a classroom and our ongoing library project in a secluded village. Partner with Water for Life and bring water filters to local farmers, and teach feminine hygiene in collaboration with Days for Girls. Participate in sustainable farming projects for local communities. Volunteer, host, and play in a national basketball tournament among Fijian youth.
Visit tomorrow and today at the same time at the international dateline and cheer on a local rugby team. Enjoy coastal walks, cultural celebrations, and working alongside the locals. Participate in baptisms for the dead at the Suva, Fiji temple (pending availability).
Explore the crystal blue waters while snorkeling and seeing turtles on private beaches. Take a boat to a private island to swim with reef sharks. Stand by the Vuna blowhole, hike to world famous waterfalls, and slide down natural water slides to round off one of the most iconic island adventures out there! This trip pace and projects are a perfect mix of hard work, growth, and pure tropical bliss.
A large portion of your trip fees and related travel expenses may be tax-deductible through our partner ROAM Humanitarian, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We always recommend checking with your personal tax advisor to understand how this applies to your specific situation. A Charitable Contribution Acknowledgement form will be sent to you at the end of the year.
Questions about this trip?
Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?
Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.
You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.
