Building A Future of Hope

The Tanzania ROAM Women’s Center was officially opened in April 2026 to start educating women and girls and to serve as a refuge from FGM and child marriage.

ROAM Humanitarian will fill the center to the brim with girls, women, and anyone who needs a safe haven – a place of refuge. With your help, this center will not sit empty. It will be a sanctuary. A place where women can be:

educated
provided clean drinking water
provided a cot to sleep on
fed fresh meals
given business opportunities
blessed with a haven from the world of abuse many are seeking refuge from

Representing WHOlives.org, we visited FIJI 2025 to see their water situation and meet the beautiful people of Tavauni and Nadi. The schedule was full and the experiences varied. Waterfalls, snorkeling, women’s talks, playing. We will always remember this adventure and the new friends made.

Going to Tanzania with Roam was life changing. You’d never have the opportunity to see the remote villages ,people, cultures and settings that these experiences has to offer.. It’s hard to describe the amount of joy my daughter and I experienced while going to Tanzania. Seeing their culture and being able to help so many in donations or just the projects, are now going to be core memories. Watching my daughter help build a chicken coop and just seeing the joy on little kids faces with just playing with them is life changing. I’ll never be grateful enough for Lindsay starting up this organization. It reminded me that life is short. You will never know what tomorrow brings so make each day count. We had the privilege of participating in a ROAM humanitarian trip to Fiji, and it was truly a life-changing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the local community. The warmth, kindness, and generosity of the Fijian people made every moment unforgettable. Our team worked on several projects, including building a kindergarten class room, supporting local schools, organizing health (water filters) and wellness workshops, (Days for Girls). We also donated food to a village who needed our help. There were dental clinics where we provided help as well! It was incredible to see how even small efforts could make a big impact. The connections we made and the stories we shared with the locals left a lasting impression on all of us. Beyond the service work, the natural beauty of Fiji was breathtaking. We had a few opportunities to explore the islands, hike to several water falls, enjoy traditional food, snorkel a large reef and participate in cultural kava ceremonies that deepened our appreciation for this beautiful country. If you’re considering a humanitarian trip, I can’t recommend Fiji enough. It’s not just about what you give—it’s also about what you gain in return. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it and ROAM is an amazing organization to lead us there and we loved having Lisa H. show us the way. Cheers to many more! Loren + Lisa Norman

We’ve done two trips with Roam now with our 4 children. Tanzania and Fiji. We highly recommend this life changing experience. To serve alongside your spouse and children is something you’ll never regret. Watching your children put aside comforts of home, devices, etc is the best! You walk away with more love in your heart and desire to do good. It makes you realize the unnecessary toxicity or negativity that can creep up in life is such a waste of time.
