About this Trip

Join us as we ROAM through Indonesia's most famous island, known for its beauty and rich culture. This women's only expedition (ages 12+) is not only filled with visiting ancient temples, a traditional cooking class, biking tour, and river rafting, but is also packed with sustainable service. We will stay in stunning tree houses with private pools and breathtaking views that is sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

As we enjoy the excitement that Bali has to offer, we will bring hope and helpful skills to single mothers who are raising their children in a landfill. The service continues as we award business grants to women, serve in an orphanage, plant ocean coral, and more!

Join us on this expedition that promises adventure, connection, and a heart-changing journey.

Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?

Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.

You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.

Who are my expedition leaders?

Melissa Holmes, ROAM Director, will lead this expedition.

What discounts are available to me and my family?

$250 off for students (non-stackable)

$250 off for family/friend groups of six or more participants (non-stackable)

$250 for previous ROAMers (this is not your first ROAM Humanitarian expedition, non-stackable)

When are trip fees due?

Payment schedules are listed on our website under each individual trip tab. In addition, you will receive a welcome email and monthly invoice with the payment schedule attached as well.

We will not hold your spot without a non-refundable $500 deposit. Thereafter, there will be a deadline for half expedition fees due, and a final donation deadline.
