About this Trip
Jetset across the globe to the African continent and spend your expedition in the shadows of Mount Kilimanjaro. Quickly find yourself immersed in African culture and far off the beaten path as we partner with multiple non-profit organizations.
Participate in construction projects at a small orphanage and nearby schools. Sponsor a well project through Rafiki Outreach. Distribute water filters donated by Water for Life. Teach health education in collaboration with Days for Girls. Participate in community outreach projects throughout your expedition including community health education for pregnant and postpartum women.
We also take time to explore Moshi near Kilimanjaro and explore the largest waterfall in Tanzania, swim in natural hot springs, and have an authentic Maasai experience. Check an African Safari off your bucket list as you spend time on game drives experiencing the wild animals of Africa in the NgoroNgoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park.

Who can apply for a service expedition/trip?
Service trips are open to adults over the age of 18 or family groups. The minimum age of participants within a family group is 8 years old. If you are younger than 18 and would like to attend without your family, you must apply with a chaperone and obtain a parent consent form.
You will need to be able to effectively care for yourself and family members including allergies and other mental or physical restrictions. Participants should be healthy enough to participate in long days of working and playing hard with a rigorous schedule. Many expeditions also have portions of the trip that are filled with adventure, and sleeping accommodations may involve camping. Review the itinerary to be sure it is the right fit for you.

When are trip fees due?
Payment schedules are listed on our website under each individual trip tab. In addition, you will receive a welcome email and monthly invoice with the payment schedule attached as well.
We will not hold your spot without a non-refundable $500 deposit. Thereafter, there will be a deadline for half expedition fees due, and a final donation deadline.
